Governance and Voting

Aquapurge's governance and voting mechanisms are designed to engage the community in shaping the project's future, ensuring that resources are allocated wisely and that decisions reflect the collective interests of the community.

DAO Committee for Cleanup Fund Allocation:

  • Composition: Aquapurge establishes a DAO Committee consisting of 9 members. These members are elected by the community through a voting process.

  • Responsibility: The primary role of the DAO Committee is to oversee and make decisions regarding the allocation of Cleanup Funds. These funds are crucial for organizing and financing cleanup events to combat ocean pollution.

  • Transparency: The DAO Committee operates transparently, providing regular updates to the community about fund allocation decisions, ensuring accountability and trust.

  • Community Participation: Community members are encouraged to actively participate in the election of committee members. This democratic approach ensures that the community has a say in how Cleanup Funds are distributed and prevents misallocation.

Community DAO for Ecosystem Initiatives and Upgrades:

  • Composition: Aquapurge establishes a broader Community DAO comprising community members interested in shaping the project's ecosystem, upgrades, and more. This DAO operates with a focus on broader project development aspects beyond Cleanup Funds allocation.

  • Decision-Making: Community members within this DAO have the opportunity to vote on various project-related matters, such as ecosystem initiatives, upgrades, and strategic decisions.

  • Exclusion of Cleanup Funds: While this Community DAO plays a crucial role in project development, it does not have authority over Cleanup Funds allocation. This ensures that Cleanup Funds are safeguarded and allocated appropriately by the dedicated DAO Committee.
